Bring Your Group to Find Your People
Does your group give people a way to connect, participate, volunteer, or belong? We’d love to have you be part of Find Your People.
This Community Join Fair is designed to introduce people to the groups that make community life stronger — volunteer fire companies, Rotary and service clubs, town boards and committees, neighborhood groups, hobby and recreation clubs, garden clubs, veterans groups, parent groups, community associations, and similar organizations.
This isn’t a traditional vendor or nonprofit fair. We’re especially looking for groups that give people an ongoing way to participate, join, volunteer, or connect with others.
There is no charge to table. Space is limited, and participation will be confirmed by People for Planet and Democracy.
About Find Your People
Find Your People brings people together around a simple idea: stronger communities are built when people have places to belong, participate, and connect.
The evening will feature a screening of Join or Die, a documentary exploring the importance of community and civic connection, followed by a Community Join Fair where attendees can meet local groups and discover new ways to get involved.
This isn’t a traditional vendor fair. Find Your People is about helping residents discover the clubs, organizations, volunteer opportunities, civic groups, and community networks that make local life stronger.
New London is the first Find Your People gathering from People for Planet and Democracy, with the goal of bringing the concept to additional communities in the future.
